Since childhood, Kali has always had a strong sense of self and an even bigger vision. A lover of beautiful things, intimate experiences, and creating with her hands, she has always been drawn to bringing her ideas to life. For Kali, Posh is the realization of the creative and passionate person she has always been, as well as an homage to her inner child: seeing her drawings come to life, quite literally.
A Kansas City local with a deep love for her community, Kali has a background in Political Science and Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies. Though an unexpected path into the creative industry, her academic background has shaped the way she approaches her work. Her natural curiosity and love of learning keep her in tune with emerging trends, while her passion for understanding people allows her to connect with others through compassion, intention, and a genuine appreciation for the human experience. These qualities inform her approach to creating thoughtful, personalized, and memorable event experiences. She is the visionary behind Posh.
As co-founder, Kali brings the artistry, vision, and personality behind Posh. Always thinking beyond the expected, she is all about bringing fresh perspective and challenging the conventional.

There’s nothing Marissa loves more than a good idea turning into something real. She loves a full calendar, a good plan, and probably has three ideas going at once. She’s naturally social, driven, and happiest when she’s surrounded by good people and working toward something she genuinely believes in.
Marissa has always had a strong connection to her community. Her background in leadership, coaching, and working with people has shaped the way she approaches Posh — with organization, energy, and heart. Starting Posh wasn’t just about creating a business; it was about creating something that reflects who she naturally is: someone who brings people together and always finds a reason to celebrate.
As a co-founder, Marissa is the go-getter behind the scenes, turning ideas into action and figuring out how to make things work. She brings an all-in energy to Posh and isn’t afraid to dream big or build something from the ground up.
For Marissa, Posh is about creating experiences people look forward to, memories they talk about afterward, and a community that feels like its own little world. Life is too short to wait for a reason to celebrate.

Posh Social Co. started with an Instagram DM!
We connected online after expressing interest in hanging out! What started as a casual meet-up quickly turned into a friendship. We went to Pilates, grabbed coffee afterward, and just clicked. As we got to know each other, we realized we had more in common than we initially thought - especially our shared love for creativity, bringing people together, and turning ideas into something real.
Neither of us necessarily took the traditional path to a creative career. Marissa studied Public Health and Epidemiology, while Kali studied WGSS & Political Science. On paper, neither path seems like an obvious road to event design and creative entrepreneurship. But in reality, those experiences shaped many of the qualities we bring to Posh: confidence, organization, leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to make things happen.
We’re both self-motivated people who believe that if we set our minds to something, we’ll find a way to bring it to life. Somewhere between conversations about ideas, dreams, and all the things we wanted to create, Posh Social Co. began to take shape.
We created Posh because we believe you shouldn’t have to spend an extraordinary amount to have an extraordinary event. We wanted to make elevated, thoughtfully designed celebrations feel more approachable, personal, and attainable - without losing the details, creativity, and personality that make an event feel special.
What started as two friends saying, “We should hang out sometime,” has grown into something we’re incredibly proud to build together.
Today, Posh Social Co. is a reflection of both of us: creative, ambitious, community-minded, and always dreaming up what’s next. We’re excited to take what we love doing and use it to help other people celebrate the moments that matter most.
